Cupcake Appeal

My NHS Cupcake Appeal has been running since March 2020, and thanks to your generous donations over the 5 month period since lockdown began, we were able to give almost 1000 cupcakes to hard-working NHS staff - from Covid ICU wards right across the spectrum of departments within the RUH Bath (cleaners, porters, security, NICU, Cardiac intensive care, to name a few), and also to local service providers such as Keynsham GP practices, dentists, and not forgetting the hard-working staff at Keynsham Ambulance Station.

It really was an honour to be entrusted with your messages of thanks and support for those who cared for you and your families at some of the most difficult times. I cried often as I wrote those messages out on your behalf, and I was also filled with joy and hope for our species, as I saw your generosity and love poured out in the midst of grief and despair.

If you would like to give to the appeal as we enter the second national lockdown and winter season, which is going to be as hard - if not harder - for all NHS staff, here's what you need to know:

For every £2 cupcake you order for our NHS frontline workers, I will match your order by making one for free, and we will distribute them to the teams working so hard to keep us all safe. This includes the janitors, estates teams, and porters, as well as the doctors, nurses and medical professionals at the RUH, and local service providers such as GP surgeries and ambulance stations. We hope that this little treat will go some way to boosting staff morale, and thanking them for their incredible hard work. 

I will stagger deliveries to the RUH over the coming weeks, to 'Cake' as many departments as we can, while funds allow!
