Wedding Cake Consultations
I know that your wedding cake is one of the most important cakes of your life. So I will sit down with you to discuss exactly what you’d like to make your day extra special.
During your wedding cake consultation, conducted via Zoom, we take up to 40 mins to discuss all your ideas and explain the wedding cake process. Please feel welcome to bring any pictures or magazines with you that have inspired your wedding, along with colour swatches, or any other detail that we might tie in to the wedding cake. I can also work with your florist to incorporate matching flowers on your cake.
The consultation is a great opportunity to talk about cake options in terms of size, shape, flavour, serving portions and decoration. I recommend checking out my guide prices and gallery ahead of the call.
After your consultation meeting, I will provide you with a tailored quote based on our discussions. Should you decide to book your wedding cake with me, 50% of the fee will be due to secure your date, with the final 50% due 1 month before your wedding date. Consultations must be scheduled at least 8 weeks before the wedding, and are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that you cancel your consultation, I will do my best to offer an alternative date.
When you order a wedding cake with Laura's Kitchen Cakery, it's one less stress for your special occasion. I am a small business with a personal service that aims to be less intimidating than a larger wedding cake shop. I'll work with you to design exactly the cake you've always dreamt of, and then you can leave it with me, worry free.

Tasting Boxes
I will prepare six delicious sample mini cakes of my most popular flavours, nicely presented and packaged ready for you to collect from me. (they can also be posted for a £5 fee). I make my samples on several dates a year, so I will let you know when the soonest date will be during the consultation.
My Wedding Cake Tasting boxes are £20, and are a great way to choose which flavours you'd like for your cake!

Wedding Tiffin
Not such a fan of cake, or just looking for something a bit different? Perhaps tiffin would be a more unusual twist on the traditional wedding cake.
Tiffin is a delectable mix of biscuit, dried fruits, and sumptuous chocolate, with a boozy twist*. My tiffin comes in a range of flavours, from Fudge (made with fudge sauce and Whiskey) to Baileys Liqueur. It is rich and delicious, and can be beautifully displayed on cake stands or in boxes as favours.
Flavours available: Almond Liqueur, Fudge, White chocolate and Ginger, Summer Lemon, Baileys, Earl grey, Cherry and Kirsch, Coffee and Walnut, Cocnut, Rock tiffin, Easter tiffin, Christmas tiffin.
*Alcohol can be omitted by request.
Cake Stand Hire
Available with your cake order
I have several wedding cake stands in various configurations, available to hire with a 100% refundable deposit upon safe return. This includes single pedestal stands, log slices, and chrome stands that hold each tier in separate configurations, as well as hoop stands and silver platters.
